Marquise Snake Skin Oval Earrings

from $26.00

This lovely impression comes from a snake skin collected near Grand Lake in Northeast Oklahoma. Black snakes often find shelter in our wood piles throughout the year, and no doubt this shed came from a healthy adult we’ve often seen lazying about.

Sterling Silver on Sterling Silver Earwires. Copper on Hypoallergenic Niobium Earwires.

  • Small Copper Marquise Length/Width - 27mm x 13mm; Total Drop Length - 37mm

  • Large Copper Length/Width - 35mm x 17mm; Total Drop Length - 45mm

  • Large Bronze Length/Width - 35mm x 17mm; Total Drop Length - 45mm

Each piece of Ozark Impressions Jewelry is impressed with nature findings from the Ozark Region where I grew up and continue to live. Every texture reminds me of a hike along an Ozark trail; a creek, river, or cave explored; or a sweet creature that shared these hills with me. I want the wearer to feel a bit of the magic and nostalgia I’ve felt exploring this place, and carry it with them wherever their journey takes them.

My work tells a story; botanicals, fossils, and once living creatures intertwined with our own stories. A celebration and reminder to appreciate the intricate details found in nature; every creature, great and small. Each one-of-a-kind focal bears my own makers mark, and often my fingerprints can be found to have survived the high fire temps of my kiln. A symbol of the connection each of us has in our own exploration through this time and space.

Made for the ones who appreciate the minute details of nature, and wish to never leave the trail, mountain, cave, woods…to never stop exploring.
