A Bit About Me:) | March Meet the Maker | Day 2

Day 2 | A Bit About Me

Hey guys, it’s me! Deitra Roberts-Biely. I’m the artist wielding the torch of Ozark Impressions Jewelry. I’m the fossil/wildflower collector, mold maker, acetylene-oxygen fire-starter, and shiny stone collector that makes the one of a kind jewelry of OIJ. I wear all the hats proudly, from production to shipment.

Born and raised in the Ozarks of NW Arkansas, I now live in the foothills of NE Oklahoma on Grand Lake. I started my metal art journey in 2016. I’m actually an educator by trade, and I’ve taught ESL, 3rd grade, and Middle School Science…and there was a year I taught pre-k through 12th that’s a bit blurry 😂.

I love playing in the outdoors, on streams, and underground. I’m an introvert to the core and will happily hike through the woods with just my family and pup, or stay alone in my studio for days at a time. But, introversion aside, I absolutely love going to shows and meeting folks in person.

I’ve been slinging my wears full time since March of 2022. I sell at art shows across the US and online. You can find my show schedule and lots of one-of-a-kind pieces at www.ozarkimpressionsjewelry.com

Each day of March I’ll be tagging an artist I know/love/follow so you can show them some love as well! Check out @orchardhillstudio and send Pam some love ❤️ She makes the loveliest enamel pieces, and has an eye for turquoise that I think you’ll love too:)
