Day 3 | A Snippet of My Process

A brief but super important snippet of my process is mold making. Often I can’t take the organic materials with me when I’m hiking, or floating, or caving because I’m in protected areas like the Buffalo Nat’l River or a National Park. I sincerely want to take only memories and leave only footprints, and I feel pretty good about my minimal impact approach to mold making on site 😁 It’s a great way for me make sure my jewelry is truly one of a kind and unique!

I started carrying clay with me a few years back, so I can still capture impressions of fossils and rock texture, while respecting and protecting the special places I’m exploring.
