Studio | March Meet the Maker | Day 13

Take a whirlwind tour of my studio with me here on Grand Lake in Northeastern Oklahoma! You can find a video post in my Instagram “Meet the Maker” Highlight Stories. It’s a bit dizzying, but I think it serves the purpose for today’s prompt.

This space was a shed for years. I originally started out with a work table in the house, then a tiny work station in this shed during the start of the pandemic. As I grew and expanded my skill set, I outgrew both spaces. Brent is the one who suggested we insulate and finish out the shed for a studio (probably in an effort to keep my works-in-progress off the dinner table 😂), and he did an amazing job on it. Everything has a proper place, and it’s helped with my work flow immensely.

It’s a space that feels really good to me. It’s warm and inviting and I feel truly inspired in it. The view ain’t too shabby either;)

A vital missing component is a proper jeweler’s bench. But I feel so spoiled to have this space that I’m not in any hurry to get that finished…but I’ve absconded a pile of salvaged oak to build my own this summer;)

Thanks for following along on my journey here, folks!
