Planning | March Meet the Maker | Day 9
I love paper lists. Paper lists have a direct correlation to productivity in my world. Whether I work out and plan my day on my studio floor, or sit down with my morning joe โ๏ธ and write it out, I benefit from a pen to paper plan for my day, my week, and my next #oneofakindjewelry collection release.
I have the Wonderlist app on my phone, but itโs not nearly as satisfying to check things off on the app as to fully cross a completed item off on a paper list. Am I right??? & if for some reason I complete an important task that (heaven forbid) wasnโt actually on my list, I immediately write it down and cross it off ๐ Please tell me there are others of you who do this as well??? โ
I have a to-do notebook, and a to-make sketchbook. But more often than not, when Iโm ready to work on a fresh collection of earrings or necklaces, I open my stone drawer (which immediately releases intoxicating amounts of endorphins) and I let the full color spectrum guide my inspiration. ๐
Do you get more done when you write it out? Or do you live flying by the seat of your pants? To be completely honest with you and myself, I go through phases of both throughout the year. But I get more ๐ฉ done when I write it down:)
Each day of March Meet the Maker (or most of them, at least ๐) Iโve been shouting out another #maker or #artist whom I like/love/&follow. This weekend @heirloomrusticales hosted a March pop up. Shout out to them for being such wonderful #oklahoma artist host/supporter & a fan-stinkin-tastic brewery in general! ๐ป I finally got to meet Kayla of @pokeberrypaper while setting up right next to her ๐ Iโve followed Kayla on social for a while now, and I was stoked to snag the most lovely poppy, echinacea, and goldenrod works from her handmade paper art collection! Check out her social accounts & Etsy shop and send her some love! @pokeberrypaper
